The construction of the tunnel between Rayate in Kalyan Taluka and the Bendsheel village in Badlapur will further provide connectivity between Badlapur and major cities like Navi Mumbai, Mumbai, Palghar, and Gujarat. The project is a part of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region’s extensive infrastructure development plans.
In Navi Mumbai, the Vadodara-JNPT highway will significantly cut down travel time between Thane’s Badlapur and Navi Mumbai to just 20 minutes. This highway, which passes through Badlapur (East), is currently being extended to connect Navi Mumbai with a tunnel, thereby enhancing accessibility and reducing travel time for commuters.

-Bridges: The project includes several major and minor bridges, road under bridges, and road over bridges - Land Acquisition: The project has acquired more than 57 hectares of private land and 4.4 hectares of government land. Additionally, permissions for forest land use were obtained in August 2022.
- Station Development: Station buildings are being developed at Panvel, Chikhale, Mohape, Chowk, and Karjat stations. This includes the construction of new station facilities and infrastructure improvements
